US Returns Eighth-Century Indonesian Buddhist Statues Looted by Notorious Antiquities Dealer
The United States has repatriated two eighth-century bronze Buddhist statues to Indonesia following their recovery from a major antiquities trafficking investigation. The statues were looted decades ago and trafficked by British dealer Douglas Latchford.
