Singapore celebrated its 61st National Day on August 9 with the National Day Parade returning to the National Stadium for the first time in a decade. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong presided over festivities featuring 42,000 spectators and over 2,600 performers.
