Former Argentine Submarine Commander Convicted Over 2017 Disaster That Killed 44
An Argentine federal court has convicted the former submarine fleet commander over the 2017 sinking of the ARA San Juan, which claimed 44 lives. Claudio Javier Villamide received a three-year suspended sentence for dereliction of duty.
