Sri Lanka court sentences former police chief to death over Easter 2019 bombings
A Sri Lankan court has sentenced former police chief Pujith Jayasundara to death for negligence in preventing the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 279 people, including 45 foreigners. Jayasundara can appeal to the Supreme Court.
