RON95 Subsidy Savings Redirected to Social Support and Food Security, Finance Ministry Clarifies
Malaysia's Finance Ministry has clarified that savings from the targeted RON95 petrol subsidy introduced in April 2026 are being channelled into expanded social assistance programmes and food security measures, rather than retained as government fiscal surplus.
