The Royal Brunei Police Force's Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit conducted two separate operations on Sunday, June 14, leading to the detention of two local women suspected of involvement in immoral activities. The raids targeted locations across the Brunei-Muara District.
The first suspect, a 39-year-old woman, was apprehended at a rented room in Kampong Salambigar on suspicion of engaging in immoral conduct. Officers recovered various items during this operation which are now part of the ongoing investigation.
A second operation in Kampong Lumapas resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old woman, who faces allegations of both participating in and facilitating similar illicit activities. Both detainees have been transferred to the unit's headquarters where they remain under investigation.
Authorities seized items of evidentiary value during the enforcement actions. The RBPF emphasised its resolve in tackling vice-related offences and moral violations as part of broader efforts to safeguard public decency and community safety.
Members of the public with knowledge of such activities are encouraged to report to the RBPF via the police hotline 993.
