Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 56 Johor state seats, setting up multi-cornered races across the state against Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional and other contesters. Before the assembly was dissolved on June 1, 2026, Barisan Nasional held 40 of the 56 seats. A coalition needs a simple majority of at least 29 seats to form the Johor government, so every constituency — including Johor Jaya — counts toward that total.
